Once a staging post for coaches that crossed the sands of Morecambe Bay to Lancaster in the 18th Century, the Bay Horse Hotel and Restaurant has since 1988, been the home of Robert Lyons, who, together with longstanding staff, welcomes you.

The house stands at the waters edge of the Leven Estuary, commanding views of both the Lancashire and Cumbrian fells. Originally a brewery, inn and fishermen's cottages, today the hotel remains very much a family home, which offers comfort to all visitors.

The atmosphere is friendly and informal, our only aim is to make you feel welcome and be able to help you relax and unwind from the stress and strain of everyday life.

We cater for parties (weddings, birthdays etc) for up to 55 people at lunchtimes and can seat up to 55 in the evening if booked as a private party taking all our accommodation, or 30 people if no accommodation is required.Dogs and Cyclists are more than welcome, a birdwatchers paradise and ideal starting point for Walking the Cumbrian Way
