Nine en-suite bedrooms are available in the house, six of these have French windows out on to a terrace, giving the full panoramic view over the estuary (a bird watchers paradise). Each room is individually decorated and furnished and contains masses of magazines, books and board games, along with all the facilities one would expect to provide a “home from home”.

Please Note all rooms now have free Wifi/Broadband access

Ulverston lies close to the southern edge of the Lake District National Park on the Furness Peninsular and the better known Lakes of Windermere and Coniston just a short drive away. Equally beautiful but certainly quieter are the western lakes of Wast Water, Buttermere and Ennerdale Water.

Ulverston is served by British Rail branch line from Lancaster. Trains leave here for Manchester Airport and all west coast main line stations.

We sincerely hope to have the pleasure of looking after you in the not too distant future.

Christmas and New Year Breaks 2008

Once again we shall be holding our popular Christmas and New Year House Parties. The house lends itself admirably for this type of occasion as practically nothing is organised and the guests are left to their own devices.

There are all kinds of old fashioned board games the guests may borrow, masses of magazines to read; lots of long and short walks nearby...in fact everything to hand for a good two or three days of self indulgence and being spoilt by us all here.

The Christmas break is a 3 day break commencing Christmas Eve and costs from £310.00 TO £330.00
The New Year break can be commenced either the 30th or 31st December. The cost of the two day break ranges from £245.00 to £265.00

All the above rates cover accommodation, dinner, early morning tea, breakfast, light cream tea, VAT and service.

Well behaved dogs are most welcome at no extra charge.
