"We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Cesar Ritz Award by The Good Hotel Guide for Cumbrian Inn of The Year 2009"
"Lancashire Lifes magazine Lake District Hotel of The Year 1998-99"
Once a staging post for coaches that crossed the sands of Morecambe Bay to Lancaster in the 18th Century, the Bay Horse Hotel and Restaurant has since 1988, been the home of Robert Lyons, who, together with longstanding staff, welcomes you.
The house stands at the waters edge of the Leven Estuary, commanding views of both the Lancashire and Cumbrian fells. Originally a brewery, inn and fishermen's cottages, today the hotel remains very much a family home, which offers comfort to all visitors.
The atmosphere is friendly and informal, our only aim is to make you feel welcome and be able to help you relax and unwind from the stress and strain of everyday life.
